LVMH partners with Hilton and Spa Chakra

French luxury-goods group LVMH has partnered with US hospitality firm Hilton Hotels Corporation and US spa operator Spa Chakra to expand its spa offer. LVMH brands Guerlain and Acqua di Parma are to be the first beauty brands to benefit from the partnership. The agreement boils down to LVMH providing the product, Hilton being the platform and Spa Chakra being the operator. Spa Chakra, which currently manages seven leased Guerlain spas, will act as the design and operations consultant.

Hilton will put an estimated $200m into developing 70 new spas with the LVMH theme brands, according to a press release. The goal of their alliance with luxury hotel spas is to match up the right LVMH brand with the right luxury hotel or resort. The first initiative of the partnership will be to open a 4,572m² Guerlain spa in Hilton's Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City, US. Exclusive spa products are to be included in the offer.
